Dave Watt, West Vancouver
Dave Watt was active in the real estate industry for more than 30 years before retiring in 2017. He co-owned Watt Real Estate (est. 1931) from 1984-1995, and has served as president of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and director of the BC Real Estate Association.
Michael Ziegler, Victoria
Michael Ziegler, co-managing broker of Newport Realty Ltd., has been active in real estate for more than 40 years. He’s served as president of the Canadian Real Estate Association, chair of the Real Estate Council of BC, and director of the Special Compensation Corporation and the Victoria Real Estate Board.
Bryon Brandle, Vernon
Bryon Brandle, now retired from RE/MAX Commercial Solutions, was first licensed almost 46 years ago and has owned and operated brokerages in the Okanagan and Shuswap areas. He’s served as a director of the Real Estate Institute of BC and the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board, as well as chair of the Real Estate Council. He’s been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1987.
Marshall Cowe, Coquitlam
Marshall Cowe, an associate broker with Royal LePage West Real Estate Services, has been active in the real estate industry for almost 45 years. He’s served as a director for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and the BC Real Estate Association, as well as chair of the Real Estate Council of BC.
Dennis Fimrite, Victoria
Dennis Fimrite is a Managing Broker (Trading, Rental Property Management and Strata) at Firm Management Corporation in Victoria, where he’s worked since 1995, after five years as a commercial real estate salesperson in Edmonton. He has served the Victoria Real Estate Board as chair of the commercial division, a member of the board and president. He has also served as a member of the Real Estate Council of BC.
Jennifer Lynch, Gabriola Island
Jennifer Lynch, a managing broker with Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty on Gabriola Island, has more than 24 years of experience in the real estate industry. She served for more than 15 years on the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board’s (VIREB) Professional Development Committee, was a director of VIREB for five years and served as President in 2007. A member of BCREA’s Board of Directors from 2008 to 2014, she held the position of President in 2013. She was recognized as VIREB’s Realtor® of the Year in 2012; she received the Robert Laing Professional Excellence award in 2018 and was named as an honorary member of VIREB.
Scott Wallace, Invermere
Mr. Wallace, who has more than 17 years of experience in the real estate industry, is the Managing Broker (Trading and Rental Property Management) licensed with Maxwell Realty Invermere. He has also served as director of the Kootenay Real Estate Board and was a member of the British Columbia Real Estate Association’s Standard Forms Committee. Prior to obtaining his real estate licence, Mr. Wallace was an insurance broker in Calgary for more than 24 years.
Leslie Howatt became executive officer of E&O in June 2011. After being called to the bar in 1989, she worked at Killam Whitelaw & Twining, doing insurance defence work, until joining E&O as a staff lawyer in 1995. She taught education courses, including Legal Update, to licensees from 2006 to 2011.
